In this role, you will be responsible for painting metal parts and ensuring they meet quality standards. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position with standard working hours of 5:30am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday. This position may require additional hours (overtime) to meet demand as needed.
Essential Functions of the job:
Clean, sand, and smooth metal surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint or coating. Apply protective coverings to areas not being painted. Inspect surfaces for any imperfections, such as rust, burrs, or debris, and remove them as needed. Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to manufacturer specifications and job requirements. Apply paint or coating using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or other equipment, ensuring even coverage. Operate and maintain painting equipment, including spray booths, to ensure safe and efficient operations. Inspect painted parts for consistency, thickness, and finish quality. Touch up areas with defects or inconsistencies. Ensure painted components meet company and customer standards for appearance and durability. Clean and maintain equipment and work area. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures. Assist in other areas of production as needed or as assigned.
