  • in Wichita, KS. In this high-impact role, you'll apply advanced coatings that protect, enhance, and ensure the performance of critical aircraft components—including cargo areas, and doors. Your craftsmanship will directly contribute to the quality, safety, and visual excellence of world-class aircraft.

  • Full-Time, 7-Month Consultant Contract
  • What You'll Do
  • + Apply
  • primers, alodine, and finish coatings
  • to a variety of aerospace components + Perform
  • surface preparation
  • including cleaning, sanding, masking, and racking + Mix and match paints to precise
  • color specifications
  • using manual or powered equipment + Spray or brush coatings on simple to complex configurations following
  • engineering instructions
  • + Read and interpret
  • blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
  • + Operate tools and equipment such as
  • spray guns, abrasives, solvents, and precision measuring devices
  • + Conduct
  • self-inspections
  • using isoscopes and scales to verify coating quality + Perform
  • minor maintenance
  • on paint equipment to ensure optimal performance + Handle
  • hazardous materials
  • safely and comply with OSHA, BAC, and customer regulations + Maintain accurate
  • air quality and process logs
  • + Support team productivity by
  • training and assisting peers
  • and ensuring smooth workflow across operations + Troubleshoot defects and contribute to
  • continuous improvement efforts
  • Required Qualifications
  • + Minimum
  • 5+ years of aircraft or industrial painting experience
  • (mid to senior level) + Ability to read and interpret
  • engineering drawings and specifications
  • + Strong knowledge of
  • paint mixing, application techniques, and surface preparation
  • + Demonstrated ability to
  • detect color variations and match finishes precisely
  • + Manual dexterity and ability to perform
  • highly detailed work with precision
  • + Experience working with
  • safety equipment
  • including respirators, PPE, and air systems + Flexibility to work
  • any shift
  • , with expected placement on 2nd shift
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + Experience working on
  • 787 components
  • (Sections 41, cargo, doors) + Familiarity with
  • aerospace compliance standards
  • (BAC, OSHA, customer specifications) + Background in
  • high-mix, high-precision manufacturing environments
  • + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

  • Pay Details:
  • $48.
