) Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to metal components using specialized powder coating equipment. Your work ensures that products meet quality standards, have a durable finish, and are ready for assembly or shipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality finishing processes in a fast-paced environment while honing your skills in industrial painting and custom powder coating as well! Responsibilities Prepare metal parts and components by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper coating adhesion. Operate powder coating equipment, including spray booths, airless paint sprayers, and curing ovens, following safety protocols. Read and follow work orders. Computer literacy and ability to learn our shop software. Apply powder coatings precisely to achieve smooth, even finishes. Use precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and quality standards. Handle materials safely with forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse equipment to move parts throughout the production area. Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning on coating equipment and perform inspections to ensure optimal operation. Collaborate with team to meet production schedules while maintaining high-quality standards. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency and minimize waste. Qualifications Previous experience in applying powder coat to metal parts is necessary. (1 year experience minimum) Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using powder coat equipment. Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; forklift certification is a plus. Knowledge of powder coat gun settings and automatic gun settings. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and inventory tracking. Understanding of lean manufacturing practices to support continuous improvement initiatives. Experience in Safety Procedures related to industrial environments is preferred. Job description:

BEPC is taking applications for a Powder Coater position. We have both a powder coat line and a hobby/batch powder coating area. This is a 1st Shift position typically M-F 7am-3:30pm with daily overtime if necessary based on workload (usually not much later than 5:30pm). Some weeks you may get Fridays off if work is caught up and sometimes there are full weeks with occasional Saturdays needed if we are really busy. We are a job shop, so parts and workload can vary, but we always strive for 40 hour work weeks. We are a growing company looking to expand our team with the right team leaders that understand our vision! Must be able to work in a team environment and have a good work ethic! We operate both a powder coat line, as well as, a batch/hobby powder coat area. Ideal applicant would be able to work in both areas as needed.

POWDER COATING EXPERIENCE IS

REQUIRED and pay is based on your experience. Knowledge of automatics and gun controls and settings are important! Attention to detail and ensuring our customers receive top quality work is expected. You will be expected to clean up your work area between jobs and daily as required and clean the shop areas routinely.
