Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Residential Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming residential spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance the beauty and value of homes. Your expertise in surface preparation, color application, and finishing will contribute to our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply paint using brushes, rollers, ensuring even coverage and smooth textures Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute painting projects according to specifications Use hand tools and power tools for surface repairs, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and other renovation tasks as needed Perform structural painting tasks such as stucco, masonry, concrete finishing, and restoration projects with precision Follow safety regulations by wearing respiratory protection, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean work environment Collaborate with team members on site to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality Requirements Proven experience in residential painting and construction site work with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and color theory principles Skilled in using various painting tools including paint sprayers (airless and conventional), brushes, rollers, and power tools Ability to work at heights using ladders safely and effectively; experience with scaffolding is a plus Familiarity with construction painting surface preparation including plastering, caulking, drywall repair, and renovation processes Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project scope and materials estimation Experience with industrial or commercial painting is advantageous but not required Strong adherence to safety regulations including proper use of respiratory protection and safety protocol compliance Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately Prior experience in construction estimating or interpreting blueprints enhances your suitability for this role
