Industrial Painter / Coating Specialist Refuse Fab St. Gabriel, Louisiana Full-Time - 5AM-2PM

- Position Summary
- As an Industrial Painter at Refuse Fab, you will be responsible for applying protective, high-performance coatings and finishes to our custom heavy-gauge steel roll-off containers and waste bins. Your work will directly safeguard our products against harsh operating environments, heavy wear-and-tear, and corrosion, ensuring they meet our strict standard of excellence.
- Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation:
Properly prep raw, fabricated steel surfaces by cleaning, sandblasting, masking, or priming to ensure maximum paint adhesion and finish longevity.Coating Application:
Operate airless spray equipment and other finishing tools to apply industrial primers, paints, and protective topcoats evenly and efficiently to roll-off containers and other fabricated components.Quality Control:
Inspect finished surfaces for runs, sags, coverage gaps, or defects. Ensure thickness and coating standards meet product specifications.Equipment Maintenance:
Properly clean, maintain, and troubleshoot painting equipment, sandblasting equipment, spray guns, hoses, and paint booths.Safety & Compliance:
Adhere strictly to all plant safety protocols and hazardous material handling guidelines.Team Collaboration:
Work closely with our team of skilled fabricators and welders to keep production schedules moving smoothly and efficiently.- Qualifications & Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of experience as an industrial painter, preferably within a heavy steel fabrication, manufacturing, or structural steel environment.Technical Skills:
Proficiency with industrial airless paint sprayers, sandblasting equipment, plural component systems, and various heavy-duty coating applications.Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods, work in hot environments, bend, reach, climb scaffolding or ladders, and lift heavy items as required by a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Attention toDetail:
A keen eye for consistency, finish quality, and thorough surface preparation.Reliability:
