In this role, you'll be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to a variety of heavy machinery, ensuring they look great, are protected from the elements, and meet industry standards. Your expertise will help extend the lifespan of our equipment while maintaining a professional appearance that reflects our commitment to excellence. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills in surface preparation, painting techniques, and mechanical knowledge will shine. Responsibilities Prepare heavy equipment surfaces through sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply primers, paints, coatings, and protective sealants using spray guns, airless sprayers, or conventional spraying techniques with precision and consistency Perform surface repairs including auto body refinishing, auto restoration, and auto glass replacement as needed before painting Use hand tools and power tools to assist with surface preparation, masking, sanding, and minor repairs Conduct auto body repair tasks such as dent removal and surface smoothing to ensure flawless paint application Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling paints, solvents, and waste in accordance with safety protocols including respiratory protection measures Collaborate with team members on vehicle maintenance tasks and provide support for detailed auto detailing or buffing projects when required Experience Proven dealership experience or background working with heavy machinery or automotive surfaces Hands-on experience with welding, auto body repair, and automotive buffing techniques Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and repair processes Familiarity with surface preparation masking, sanding, grinding, and the use of painting and coating spray guns Skilled in auto restoration projects involving automotive surface preparation and auto painting Experience operating power tools such as grinders and sanders safely and effectively Knowledge of respiratory protection standards and proper handling of automotive paints and finishes Customer service skills coupled with auto estimating experience are a plus for interacting with clients or internal teams Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during all phases of the painting process This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in delivering top-quality finishes on heavy equipment.
