Powercon Corp is a leading switchgear manufacturing company dedicated to providing high-quality electrical solutions. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint and other finishes to various surfaces. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic. POWERCON JOB REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities:
Prepare, set up, and test all paint spraying equipment prior to use to make sure all equipment is in working order. Apply surface materials when required to fill any surface imperfections. Inspect surface condition prior to coating and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor. Select and use various types of hand tools, abrasive sandpapers, and grinders. Understand and be able to recognize surfaces for painting readiness including the presence of grit. Prepare and mix coating materials in accordance with coating manufacturer's specifications. Apply protective coatings to various types of surfaces (generally metal) using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers. Measure coating film thicknesses dry and wet as required by job specifications. Clean all paint spraying equipment upon completion of use and report any defective parts or equipment maintenance required to immediate supervisor. Keep work area clean and free of debris. Ensure proper ventilation in work areas to minimize fumes and odors Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: Proven experience as a Painter or similar role Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in painting Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions Basic carpentry skills for trim work and repairs Experience in concrete finishing is a plus Attention to detail and strong work ethic If you are a skilled Painter looking for an opportunity to showcase your talent in a dynamic environment, we would love to hear from you.
