Powder Coat Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coat Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring durable and visually appealing finishes. Duties Operate powder coating equipment, including spray booths and airless paint sprayers, to apply coatings evenly on metal parts. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking to ensure optimal adhesion of coatings. Load and unload materials using forklifts or cranes, ensuring proper handling and storage of parts. Monitor coating thickness with precision measuring instruments and adjust equipment settings as needed. Maintain a clean work area by cleaning equipment, tools, and workstations regularly. Conduct quality inspections on finished products to verify coating consistency and adherence to specifications. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment during all operations. Qualifications Previous experience with industrial painting, auto body repair, or manufacturing processes is highly desirable. Knowledge of mechanical systems, hand tools, power tools, welding, and fabrication techniques. Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely; forklift certification is preferred. Familiarity with materials handling, machining, assembly, and the use of precision measuring instruments. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating coating coverage or thickness. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and warehouse operations is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Pay:

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
