Job Summary :

The Paint Technician is responsible for applying coatings to parts and assemblies in accordance with company standards and program requirements. This role ensures proper application, coverage and finish quality while working from work instructions and specifications in a structured manufacturing environment supporting defense programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply paint and coatings to parts and assemblies using spray equipment and finishing tools. Set up and operate paint equipment, including spray guns and related systems. Ensure proper mixing, preparation and handling of coatings and materials. Inspect finished surfaces for quality coverage and defects. Follow work instructions, coating specifications and finishing procedures. Maintain consistent application techniques to meet quality standards. Identify and report surface defects or inconsistences in finished products. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all safety procedures, including required Paint PPE. Perform other duties as assigned to support production.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED preferred. Experience with spray painting or coating application (industrial preferred) Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail and finish quality. Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures. Ability to lift materials and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Prior manufacturing or industrial painting experience. Experience with spray guns and coating equipment. Familiarity with paint mixing, ratios and curing processes. Familiarity with safety practices related to paint and coating processes.
