We are seeking 8 Conformal Coat Operators, $20-23 per hour, seven for 1st shift, Mon-Friday, 6am-4:30pm, one for 2nd shift Mon-Friday, 4pm-2:30am with the probability of rotating Saturdays for both shifts. Interviews will be required. The Conformal Coat Operator assists in applying protective coatings to printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies. This position focuses on learning and performing conformal coating processes under close supervision while ensuring quality, safety, and process compliance. Overview We are seeking a dedicated PCB Coating Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective and functional coatings to printed circuit boards (PCBs) using various coating techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet strict industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and quality in production processes. Duties Operate coating equipment, including spray guns and powder coating systems, to apply coatings uniformly on PCB surfaces. Interpret production documents and work instructions accurately to ensure adherence to specifications. Prepare surfaces through cleaning, surface preparation, and masking prior to coating application. Use hand tools, power tools, and spray guns effectively for coating, finishing, and surface preparation tasks. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and respiratory protection devices. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment. Conduct visual color comparisons and quality inspections to verify coating consistency and finish quality. Perform routine maintenance on coating equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly. Follow manufacturing safety standards and ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to powder coating and industrial painting. Assist in assembly or finishing processes as needed to support production flow. Experience Prior experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or construction painting surface preparation is preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to machining, auto body repair, or auto painting is advantageous. Familiarity with the use of spray guns, airless paint spraying equipment, and conventional spraying techniques. Basic math skills for measurement and process calculations. Knowledge of quality standards in production environments and the ability to interpret manufacturing documents. Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is beneficial. Understanding of safety protocols related to PPE use, respiratory protection, and hazardous materials management. Ability to perform visual inspections using color comparison tools and hand tools effectively.
