Medical (HSA contribution), Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, Accident & Life Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Paint Technician to support the finishing process of our custom fire trucks. This hands-on role focuses on surface preparation, priming, and applying high-quality finishes. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, has a strong attention to detail, and thrives in a production environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare truck bodies and components for paint, including sanding and surface cleaning Apply body filler and perform surface corrections as needed Prime surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion and finish quality Perform paint preparation work including masking and staging components Apply two-stage paint systems in accordance with specifications Sand and buff clear coat finishes to achieve high-quality appearance standards Perform paint repair and touch-ups as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow safety procedures and proper paint handling practices Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality expectations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Degree or technical training in auto body repair, collision repair, or a related field preferred Previous experience in auto body, paint, or finishing work preferred (willing to train the right candidate) Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic knowledge of hand and power tools Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Pre-Employment Requirements Successful candidates must complete: Physical examination Background check Drug screening
