Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Painter to join our team. This full-time role is critical in ensuring our products are clean, crisp, accurate, and visually outstanding. Our projects consists of creative finishes in line with our custom project needs as well as high volume single color projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has experience with HVLP paint guns, auto paints and has a sharp eye for color. You'll work closely with teammates to complete projects ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and consistency. This position involves printing directly to substrates such as acrylics, aluminum, HDU foam, wood, steel, vinyls and pvc. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, technical skill, and a collaborative mindset. Key Responsibilities Paint all projects that require painting. Thoroughly reviews each work order prior to beginning work. Utilize the enclosed Paint Booth and Mixing Station Utilize various top feed HVLP Spray Guns. Perform color matching to client specified colors on different substrates. Documenting paints and mixing codes for every job and color. Follow approved process for painting the numerous substates/materials used in manufacturing sign (aluminum, acrylic, HDU, steel, wood, pvc, vinyl, etc.) Ensures that signs and sign components produced adhere to specified standards. Performs basic daily maintenance and cleaning of all equipment per manufacturer's instructions. Consistently utilize all required safety equipment and procedures in compliance with OSHA guidelines along with company safety rules and policies. Adhere to all regulatory compliance guidelines for hazardous waste disposal. Works independently as well as a contributing part of the production team. Available for overtime and work on weekends as needed. Ability to utilize sanding equipment and perform paint preparation. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of the sign industry is not required, but helpful. Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions, as well as communication well with others. 3-5 years of (sign) painting experience is preferred. Auto body paint experience is great as well. Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. Expert attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously Able to quickly identify problems and seek solutions. Able to communicate effectively and work well with others in a team environment. Ability to work from specifications, shop orders, drawings, cover sheets, samples, and instructions. Faux finishing with paint is a plus. Air brushing skills is a plus.
