• Full-time Overview Reporting to the Production Supervisor, Main Shop + Paint, this role is a full-time, hourly position scheduled Monday
• Friday with the availability for overtime when necessary.

This is a 1st shift schedule (M-F 7am-3:30pm) role. The Painter II is a strong team player with a positive attitude, is willing to take direction as well as be a self-starter and enjoys working in a creative, problem solving, and fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position also possesses basic knowledge of handling hazardous materials and upholds basic cleaning standards of paint guns and work environment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS

may include but are not limited to: Cleans and prepares products to be painted Selects and mixes specific colors using computer generated formulas Applies automotive or industrial paint to various types of materials (i.e., metal, plastics, foam, etc.) Takes directions well and is also a self-starter Improves processes as necessary Works safely in and around a fabrication shop environment Enjoys working in a creative, problem-solving manufacturing environment Fulfills other production duties assigned as needed

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Ability to be a strong team player with a positive attitude and a great work ethic Ability to work with little to no direction Knowledge of fabrication shop procedures

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

10+ years professional paint experience in the automotive industry is required Experience working with gravity-fed HVLP paint guns, and pressure pot sprayers Bondo experience strongly preferred Experience setting up and operating paint equipment and spraying metallics and clear coats required
