In this role, you will be responsible for applying durable, high-quality spray-on bed liners to trucks and other vehicles, ensuring a superior finish that meets strict quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to delivering outstanding products that enhance vehicle protection and aesthetics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment where precision and craftsmanship are valued. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with industrial painting processes, and a commitment to safety protocols. Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces by performing surface cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation using hand tools and construction painting techniques. Operate spray guns, including airless paint sprayers and coating spray equipment, to apply bed liner materials with precision and consistency. Interpret production documents and work instructions to ensure correct application procedures and coating thicknesses are maintained. Handle materials safely, including powders and coatings, while adhering strictly to PPE requirements such as respirators and respiratory protection gear. Conduct quality inspections using visual color comparison tools and precision measuring instruments to verify finish quality and coating adherence. Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and tools; perform routine maintenance on spray guns and machinery to ensure optimal operation. Follow safety protocols diligently, including PPE use, hazard communication, and proper materials handling in accordance with manufacturing standards. Experience Previous experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or automotive spray finishing is highly preferred. Familiarity with construction painting surface preparation techniques and the use of hand tools for surface prep is advantageous. Experience operating forklifts or warehouse equipment is a plus for efficient materials handling. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards in production environments, and interpretation of technical documents is essential. Basic math skills for measuring coatings, thicknesses, and material quantities are required. Hands-on experience with conventional spraying methods such as airless paint spraying or auto painting techniques will support success in this role. Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection measures, and safe handling of hazardous materials is critical.
