In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that enhance the aesthetic and structural integrity of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, cleaning, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and color schemes to accurately execute painting projects according to specifications. Conduct surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, patching holes, and restoring damaged areas to create smooth, even surfaces ready for finishing. Use ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment safely while adhering to all safety regulations and protocols including respiratory protection measures. Perform specialized painting tasks such as structural painting on steel or concrete surfaces, industrial coating applications, or restoration projects. Collaborate with team members on renovation or remodeling projects by installing fixtures, trim carpentry, stucco work, or masonry as needed. Requirements Proven experience in construction painting across residential, commercial, or industrial settings with a strong understanding of surface preparation and coating techniques. Proficiency with hand tools (brushes, scrapers), power tools (airless sprayers, drills), and spray equipment (conventional and airless). Knowledge of color theory for accurate visual color comparison and matching during projects. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and schematics for precise project execution. Familiarity with safety regulations including proper use of respiratory protection and adherence to safety protocols on construction sites. Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as plastering, caulking, masonry work, and renovation processes. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coatings application. Physical ability to work at heights using ladders or scaffolding safely while maintaining focus on quality standards. Additional skills in fixture installation, framing carpentry or handyman experience are advantageous but not required.
