remodel painter LVR Construction St. Louis, MO Job Details Full-time $25 - $30 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Chemical handling safety procedures Sanding tools Visual color comparison Basic math Chemical handling Ladder use Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence Color theory Construction plans Construction drawing review Construction painting surface preparation Safety equipment Color matching analysis Construction workplace safety regulations Spray guns (painting, coating and spraying tool) Chemical safety protocols Respirator Caulking Full Job Description Overview looking for a remodel painter, prospective employee should be proficientl in all types of painting, interior, exterior, cabinet refinishing and cabinet painting Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Execute a variety of painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless and conventional spray systems), and coating applications on diverse surfaces such as drywall, stucco, masonry, and structural elements Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and renovation plans to accurately execute projects according to specifications Use hand tools and power tools safely for surface preparation, fixture installation, carpentry tasks like trim carpentry and frame carpentry, and minor repairs during remodeling projects Apply specialized coatings for industrial or commercial painting projects while adhering strictly to safety regulations and safety protocol guidelines including respiratory protection measures Perform surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, masonry work, concrete finishing, and restoration tasks to ensure a smooth foundation for painting applications Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while following all safety procedures on construction sites Requirements Proven experience in construction or remodeling environments with a strong focus on residential or commercial painting projects Skilled in construction site safety regulations with knowledge of respiratory protection equipment and safe handling of paints and chemicals Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans Ability to use hand tools, power tools, spray equipment (including airless paint sprayers), brushes, rollers, and other painting apparatus effectively Knowledge of surface preparation techniques such as sanding, scraping, plastering, caulking, and masonry work Familiarity with color theory for accurate color matching and visual color comparison skills Experience with renovation projects involving framing, fixture installation, restoration work or general handyman tasks is a plus Strong attention to detail with basic math skills for measurements and calculations during project planning Ability to work at heights using ladders safely and efficiently while maintaining balance and precision during structural or surface painting tasks Embark on a rewarding career where your artistry transforms spaces!
