Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician specializing in painting to join our innovative production team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to a variety of manufacturing components and assemblies, ensuring products meet strict quality standards. Your expertise will help drive efficiency, precision, and excellence in our manufacturing processes. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality. Operate airless paint spraying equipment, auto body repair tools, and other industrial painting machinery safely and efficiently. Apply coatings using techniques suited for both industrial and construction painting projects, maintaining consistent coverage and finish. Handle materials safely with proper materials handling procedures, including the use of forklifts, cranes, and warehouse equipment. Perform fabrication and assembly tasks as needed to support production flow, utilizing precision measuring instruments for accuracy. Conduct routine maintenance on painting equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity in the painting process. Skills Proficiency with forklift operation, crane use, and warehouse experience for efficient materials handling. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly. Experience with manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, welding, auto painting, and auto body repair. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of industrial painting techniques such as airless spray painting and manual application methods for both industrial and construction settings. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, material quantities, and process adjustments. Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in production workflows.
