Job Description
Aircraft Painter
Job Description:
Perform advanced aircraft paint preparation, including stripping, sanding, masking, chemical treatment, and corrosion control primers, topcoats, and specialty coatings using HVLP, electrostatic, and conventional spray methods Interpret and follow engineering drawings, technical data, paint manuals, and work instructions Ensure strict compliance with FAA regulations, environmental requirements, and safety procedures Conduct detailed inspections of completed paint work to ensure cosmetic and technical quality standards Troubleshoot and resolve complex paint defects such as fisheyes, orange peel, runs, and adhesion issues Properly mix, measure, and handle hazardous materials in accordance with MSDS and OSHA guidelines Lead and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 paint technicians; provide technical guidance and best practices Maintain accurate documentation, work logs, and quality records Coordinate with quality, engineering, and production teams to meet delivery schedules 4 vacancies on 1st shift: Paint & Detail/0700-1530 M-Fri 3 vacancies on 2nd shift: Paint Nights 1600- 0230 M-Th 1 vacancy on 3rd shift: Paint Weekend Days 0600

Job Requirements:
Minimum of 3-7 years of aircraft painting experience in an MRO, OEM, or corporate aviation environment Demonstrated proficiency in full aircraft paint processes from strip to finish Strong knowledge of aircraft materials, coatings, corrosion prevention, and surface treatment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience reading and interpreting technical documentation and drawing High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to pass respirator fit testing and work in confined spaces Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Preferred Qualifications Experience with business jets, commercial aircraft, or military platforms Leadership or crew lead experience Familiarity with electrostatic painting systems Aviation-related technical training (preferred, not required) Work Environment Hangar and paint booth environment Exposure to chemicals, solvents, and noise PPE required Tools Required Now (Job and company information not to be copied, shared, scraped, or otherwise disseminated/distributed without explicit consent of ) Now Job Info Location Kinston, North Carolina, USA Type Contractor Company Details HSGI, Inc.
