Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Body and Paint Technician to join our dynamic automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert body repair and painting techniques. Your expertise will ensure that every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and aesthetics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, utilize advanced repair tools, and contribute to exceptional customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Repair and restore vehicle bodies using auto body repair techniques, including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal work. Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, sanding with power tools, and applying primers to ensure smooth finishes. Apply paint using airless paint spraying equipment, ensuring even coverage and color matching. Perform welding tasks such as MIG welding and soldering to repair or fabricate metal components. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to modify or replace damaged parts accurately. Conduct auto glass replacement and repairs as needed to maintain vehicle safety standards. Assist with vehicle detailing, assembly, and light mechanical repairs to support overall vehicle restoration efforts. Qualifications Prior experience working in a dealership or auto body shop is highly preferred. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, sheet metal work, and fabrication techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle maintenance procedures. Familiarity with auto painting processes, including auto painting preparation and airless paint spraying. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto glass installation tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of auto estimating software and customer service skills are a plus. Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing detailed repair work. $24.68 - $29.73 per hour
