Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Painter to join our dynamic automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming vehicles through expert surface preparation, painting, and finishing techniques. Responsibilities This is an assembly line position. Allowing the best candidate to hone in on the skill. Apply primers, paints, coatings, and clear coats using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment with precision and consistency. Perform auto body refinishing to restore vehicles to their original condition. Conduct the occasional auto restoration projects by combining automotive buffing, detailing, and surface preparation techniques to achieve a showroom-quality appearance. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to respiratory protection protocols, handling paints and chemicals responsibly, and using appropriate safety gear. Collaborate with team members on auto estimating, customer service inquiries, and vehicle inspection processes to ensure customer satisfaction. Qualifications Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience as an auto painter or similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, grinders, sanders, and buffing equipment. Expertise in automotive surface preparation including masking. Proficiency in applying paints using conventional spraying methods or airless paint spraying systems. Knowledge of automotive buffing & detailing Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for auto body refinishing projects.
