Job Description

Industrial PainterSteel Equipment Specialists is a leading player in the steel equipment manufacturing and engineering industry, committed to delivering top-quality products and services to our clients. With a strong dedication to safety, innovation, and delivering innovative solutions to our customers, we are seeking an experienced, skilled, and detail-oriented painter to join our 3rd Shift team.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint and other coatings to steel equipment and structures, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets our rigorous industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, applying primers and masking appropriate surfaces. Mix and apply paints, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Inspect finished surfaces for quality and make necessary touch-ups or corrections. Maintain and clean painting equipment and work areas. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain technical equipment for the production jobs and ensuring they are in working order Possess experience with a wide array of painting tools including thin and thick brushes, airbrushes and rollers Remove previous paint surfaces using PPE masking or a chemical rinse Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as an industrial painter, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects. Reliable transportation and strict punctuality and attendance habits. 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
