This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has experience preparing steel and other substrates for industrial coating systems. Our teams work on projects throughout Ohio involving commercial buildings, manufacturing facilities, industrial structures, and specialty projects. As an employee-owned company, we value craftsmanship, safety, teamwork, and accountability. What You'll Do Perform abrasive blasting and mechanical surface preparation on steel and other substrates. Operate blasting equipment, hoses, nozzles, compressors, and related equipment. Remove rust, corrosion, existing coatings, dirt, scale, and other contaminants. Establish and maintain proper containment around blasting areas. Assist with surface profile preparation before coating application. Inspect prepared surfaces for cleanliness and proper preparation. Maintain blasting equipment and report equipment issues to supervisors. Follow project specifications and coating manufacturer requirements. Maintain a clean and controlled work area. Follow all required safety procedures when working around industrial equipment and coatings. What We're Looking For Previous abrasive blasting or industrial surface preparation experience preferred. Familiarity with blasting equipment and compressed-air systems. Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods. Comfortable working in protective equipment and respirators. Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments. Reliable transportation. Smartphone for company communication and timekeeping. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
