Job Description

Job Title:
Thermal Spray Operator Type:
Contract To Hire 1st shift (7AM - 3:30PM) 2nd shift (3PM - 11:30PM) Responsibilities Operate and maintain a clean and organized HVOF spray booth. Prepare workpieces by cleaning, masking, and sandblasting surfaces. Assist in development of new tooling as necessary. Program/adjust robot programs as necessary. Assist in development and implementation of coating application technique sheets, design and use of coating application tooling. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine coating requirements. Use measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and coating thickness gauges. Follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and proper ventilation practices. Requirements 1+ years of experience operating thermal spray equipment (or relevant coating processes). Experience with robotics or automated spray systems. Familiarity with various thermal spray equipment, usage and maintenance. Experience with aerospace or industrial coating standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical manuals. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Exposure to loud noise, high heat, and airborne particles in a production environment. Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Must wear PPE such as respirators, gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing.
