Updated 08/24/2026 Job Description Job Summary Helicopter Painter Helicopter Transport Services (HTS) is seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter to join our maintenance and repair operations team in Aurora, Oregon. This position is responsible for painting helicopters, components, tail booms, parts, and ground support equipment to the highest standards of quality and appearance. HTS operates one of the largest and most advanced paint facilities on the West Coast—a 100 ft x 30 ft heated, vented, and filtered paint booth designed for full-airframe refinishing and component work. This is a unique opportunity to establish and lead an in-house paint department with potential for growth into third-party and external customer projects. Relocation assistance may be available for highly qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities Prepare and paint aircraft, components, and related equipment per manufacturer and company specifications. Mix, match, and apply primers, topcoats, and specialty finishes. Maintain paint booth equipment, filtration systems, and work area cleanliness. Ensure all work meets FAA and OEM quality standards and proper documentation requirements. Collaborate with maintenance and component overhaul teams to meet production schedules Requirements Prior experience painting aircraft or large-scale industrial/automotive equipment preferred. Familiarity with aerospace coatings, epoxy primers, and polyurethane finishes. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, controlled work environment. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and specifications. Self-motivated with excellent workmanship and pride in finish quality.
