Job Description
Brosseau's Coachworks is looking for an experienced painter/body technician to join our classic car restoration team. We're looking for someone who knows classic cars, understands quality body and paint work, and can take a project from bare metal to painted and assembled. This position will also help lead our paint department and oversee two technicians. What You'll Do
- Perform bodywork and paintwork on high-end classic car restorations
- Execute and oversee the complete paint process, from prepping bare metal, flow spreading the entire car, primer application and shaping, base/clear application to cut and buff
- Prepare vehicles and individual panels for paint to achieve a high-quality, show-ready finish
- Set up, align, and gap panels, doors, hoods, and trunks
- Shim and align bodies and panels as needed
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles throughout the restoration process
- Install weather stripping, trim, fittings, and other finishing elements
- Oversee the final fitment and finishing of completed restorations
- Manage the paint department, including directing two technicians
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
- Complete approximately 1-2 full restorations per month depending on the season What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in both bodywork and automotive paint
- Professional experience working with body and paint tools
- Experience with classic cars and restoration work
- Strong understanding of panel fitment, alignment, and body gaps
- Experience disassembling and assembling classic vehicles
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- High attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to lead and work effectively with a small team
- Own standard mechanic's hand tools Schedule & Pay 4 x 10-hour shifts | 6:00 AM
- 4:30 PM $25
- 45/hr DOE Starting pay will be based on demonstrated experience, skill level, and ability Vacation & sick time accrual + paid holidays Medical & dental available Busy shop.
Pay:
$25.00- $45.
