• 1st Shift Industrial Painter (Spray Test)
• Job Description
• This role focuses on preparing and painting carbon steel I-beams and related steel products in a dedicated paint shop environment. You will work with industrial paint systems, spray equipment, and prep processes to ensure high-quality coating and finishing on metal and steel components.
• Responsibilities
• + Prepare carbon steel I-beams and associated steel products for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and other surface preparation tasks.

+ Operate paint sprayers and spray guns to apply industrial paint and coatings to metal and steel parts.

+ Perform paint prep activities such as masking, taping, and staging parts for the paint booth.

+ Work in the paint booth to apply single and multi-coat paint processes according to specifications and quality standards.

+ Mix paints and coatings accurately to achieve required color, consistency, and performance characteristics.

+ Assist with powder coating and other coating processes as needed.

+ Handle general labor and assembly tasks related to the painting and coating workflow.

+ Inspect finished parts for proper coverage, adhesion, and finish quality, and perform touch-ups when necessary.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in and around the paint booth and prep areas.

+ Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when working with paints, chemicals, tools, and equipment.

• Essential Skills
• + Hands-on paint prep experience with metal and steel components.

+ Ability to perform sanding and other surface preparation techniques on carbon steel I-beams and steel products.

+ Proficiency in using spray guns and paint sprayers for industrial painting applications.

+ Experience working in a paint booth environment with industrial paints and coatings.

+ Knowledge of multi-coat painting processes and the ability to follow specified coating procedures.

+ Capability to mix paints and coatings accurately following instructions and product data sheets.

+ Comfort performing general labor tasks related to painting, assembly, and coating operations.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $24.

00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
