Monday-Friday Position Summary:
The Painter is responsible for preparing, refinishing, and applying coatings to vehicle surfaces in accordance with manufacturer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with body shop personnel. Responsibilities Operate all body and paint shop equipment safely and correctly Remove and reinstall vehicle components and trim as needed Prepare surfaces by filling, sanding, masking, and protecting surrounding areas Mix and apply paint in accordance with manufacturer guidelines Inspect completed work for quality, identifying and correcting imperfections Complete paint process by buffing and polishing of paint surfaces Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Wear and maintain all required PPE, including respirators Comply with all safety regulations and hazardous material handling procedures Support team members with vehicle repair and prep tasks as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 3 years' experience in bodywork and painting preferred Experience with custom commercial vehicles preferred PPG and/or Sikkens training is a plus Must supply personal paint and body hand tools Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently Willingness to attend job-related training as required Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs.; frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stretching, reaching, fine and gross manipulation Additional Details
