From hanging your favorite artists' latest artwork to installing that bespoke 10ft tall mirror, or even breathing new life into that family heirloom; we're the team that can take care of all those soft touches that make your home feel like yours.Job Summary:
Creola Design Furniture Repair is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fine Finish Painter to join our growing furniture repair and restoration team. This position is responsible for applying high-end finishes to furniture, cabinetry, millwork, and specialty surfaces while maintaining the craftsmanship and quality standards our customers expect. The ideal candidate has experience with wood finishing systems, color matching, spray application techniques, and surface preparation for premium residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will be mechanically skilled and capable of using many different hand and power tools, organized, proactive, and capable of handling a dynamic work environment.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare furniture and wood surfaces for finishing through sanding, cleaning, masking, filling, and repair work Apply stains, toners, sealers, paints, lacquers, 1K/2K Italian coatings, conversion varnishes, and clear coats using spray equipment and hand-finishing techniques Perform color matching and finish blending to meet customer specifications and existing finishes Repair scratches, chips, water damage, and finish defects on furniture and cabinetry Maintain clean spray booth and finishing equipment Follow company quality standards and finishing procedures Inspect completed work to ensure a high-quality final product Safely handle paints, solvents, stains, and finishing materials Maintain organized workspaces and proper inventory handling of finishing materials Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Communicate with supervisors regarding project status and material needsQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant certifications or training is a plus Minimum 5 years of experience in cabinet/furniture finishing, automotive paint, or related fine finish work Experience with HVLP and Airless finishing equipment Strong understanding of wood species, stains, coatings, and finish systems Ability to color match and blend finishes accurately Knowledge of sanding, prep work, and repair techniques Ability to lift and move furniture pieces safely Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship mindset Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to read measurements and follow work orders accurately Attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship Effective communication skills, both written and verbalWorking Conditions:
Primarily shop-based environment with some field tasks dependent on project. Physical ability to remain standing or moving on your feet for the majority of your shift. Ability to lift and move furniture (up to 75 lbs.)Remote Work Policy:
