Job Description

Strategic Support Solutions has immediate openings for motivated Aircraft Painters . These individuals must have hands-on experience using electrostatic spray application tools to apply high-performance polyurethane primers and topcoats to executive-class aircraft. Key Responsibilities Sand, solvent wash, chemical strip, mask, and meticulously prepare aircraft surfaces for primer and paint. Mix, test, and apply epoxy primers and polyurethane topcoats using electrostatic paint guns . Layout, mask, and paint multi-colored registration numbers, accent lines, and intricate custom customer stripe schemes. Inspect finishes for imperfections (runs, sags, orange peel, dust) and perform color sanding, buffing, and high-end detailing. Clean and maintain paint gun components, pressure pots, air lines, and breathing air systems. Adhere strictly to hazardous waste disposal, environmental, OSHA, and EPA regulations. Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 2-4 years of aircraft painting experience (high-end custom automotive or yacht/marine paint experience using electrostatic systems may be considered). Proven, direct experience operating and maintaining electrostatic spray equipment. Thorough knowledge of paint mixing ratios, viscosity testing, and environmental factors affecting paint flow and curing. Ability to work comfortably in full respirator gear, protective suits, and on elevated platforms.
Pay & Benefits:
This position is governed by the Service Contract Act (SCA) and includes a full suite of benefits.
Total Hourly Compensation:
$26.00 - $28.00 (Depending on Experience) This total compensation is a combination of your Base Wage + Health & Welfare (H&W) + a $5.00 per hour Shift Differential .
