Job Title:

Spray Painter - WEEKLY PAY - $20 to $22 AN HOUR Job Description As a Spray Technician, you will apply coatings such as paint, glaze, or lacquer to protect or decorate surfaces using spray guns or brushes. You will examine finished surfaces to verify conformance to specifications and retouch any defective areas. Additionally, you will clean and maintain tools and equipment using solvents, brushes, and rags. You will read job plans, inspect pieces to determine work procedures and materials required, clean surfaces of pieces in preparation for coating, and place coated pieces in ovens or dryers for specified times to dry or harden finishes. Responsibilities Apply coatings such as paint, glaze, or lacquer using spray guns or brushes. Examine finished surfaces to verify conformance to specifications and retouch defective areas. Clean and maintain tools and equipment using solvents, brushes, and rags. Read job plans and inspect pieces to determine work procedures and materials required. Clean surfaces of pieces in preparation for coating using sandpaper, spackle, tack cloths, etc. Place coated pieces in ovens or dryers to dry or harden finishes. Essential Skills Experience in sanding, spray painting, and finishing. Proficiency in using hand tools and spray guns. Knowledge of woodworking and industrial painting techniques. Additional Skills & Qualifications Six months of painting experience. Some production experience. Good work ethic and history. Proficiency in using a tape measure is a plus. Work Environment The work environment is fast-paced and focused on custom cabinetry production. You will be part of a team of 115 employees on one shift. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, and comfortable shoes, ensuring you are ready to work efficiently. Hours are 7 AM to 5 PM Monday through Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
