As an Industrial Painter and Sandblaster, you will be responsible for blast prep and industrial spray coatings. The site is near Asheville, North Carolina, and per diem is paid for every day worked.
Industrial Painter and Sandblaster Pay:
$28.00 to $30.00 per hour, set within that range based on your blast and spray experience. A per diem of $120.00 per day is paid for every day worked. W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit.
Industrial Painter and Sandblaster Schedule:
Monday through Friday, day shift, with 8 to 10 hour days depending on weather and the work in front of the crew. Overtime is available on the longer days, and this is ongoing project work.
Industrial Painter and Sandblaster Responsibilities:
Prepare steel and other substrates by abrasive blasting to the surface profile the coating system calls for. Mask, contain, and protect surrounding surfaces before blasting and before any coating goes on. Mix and spray-apply primers, intermediate coats, and finish coats with airless and conventional spray equipment. Check film build and coverage as you go, and correct runs, dry spray, and holidays before moving on. Set up, tear down, and maintain blast pots, compressors, hoses, and nozzles, and follow the site respirator program.
Industrial Painter and Sandblaster Qualifications:
You have hands-on experience running abrasive blast equipment and spraying industrial coatings in the field. You can read a coating specification and work to the surface prep standard and mil thickness it calls for. You are comfortable working outdoors at elevation in changing mountain weather. You can pass a pre-employment drug screen and a background check. You are authorized to work in the United States.
