Body and Painter Helper Sheppards Collision Center - 5.0 Abilene, TX Job Details Full-time $15 - $18 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Teamwork Customer service Driver's License Driving Auto body repair Full Job Description Job Summary Join our dynamic auto body shop team as a Body and Painter Helper, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the repair and restoration of vehicles. This energetic position offers hands-on experience in auto body repair, painting, and vehicle maintenance, providing a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You'll assist experienced technicians with a variety of tasks to ensure vehicles are restored to their best condition while gaining valuable industry knowledge.
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD. PAY WILL DEPEND ON EXPERIENCE.
Responsibilities Assist with auto body repairs, including sanding, buffing, and prepping surfaces for painting Help with vehicle disassembly and reassembly, including removal and installation of auto glass and trim Perform basic mechanical tasks such as light welding, heavy lifting, and using hand tools to support repairs Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained Qualifications Dealership or auto body shop experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools Knowledge of auto body repair processes Strong attention to detail with excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members Willingness to develop skills. This role is paid and offers an excellent pathway for those passionate about automotive repair to grow their expertise. Pay:
