Part-time $35/hr Flagged Combo Tech - Body Repair and Paint Technician Gary D's Automotive Arlington, TX Job Details Full-time $30 - $35 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Passenger vehicle Driver safety training Driver's License Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Part-time Body & Paint Technician to join our collision repair team. The goal is for this part-time technician to work weekends or evenings . This role is ideal for a well-rounded technician experienced in both structural and cosmetic body repairs, as well as paint prep and refinish work. You will be responsible for bringing damaged vehicles back to pre-accident condition with precision and care — from dent repair to color match and final spray. Body Repair Perform disassembly, damage analysis, repair, and reassembly of vehicles Repair or replace body panels, bumpers, and structural components Use frame machines, welders, and other body shop tools as needed Communicate effectively with estimators and management regarding repair status and supplements Paint & Refinishing Sand, mask, prime, and prepare panels for paint Mix paint to match OEM color codes using computerized mixing systems Perform refinishing using HVLP spray guns and downdraft paint booths Apply clear coat and complete buffing/polishing for a high-quality finish Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of spray booth and paint equipment General Ensure repairs meet OEM specifications, I-CAR standards, and shop quality requirements Follow all safety and environmental regulations, including PPE and hazardous waste handling Maintain an organized, efficient work area and support a clean team environment Qualifications Proficiency in both bodywork and paint prep/refinishing Strong knowledge of paint systems (PPG, BASF, Axalta, etc.) Ability to read and follow repair orders and paint codes Must supply own tools for body repair and prep work Valid driver's license with clean driving record High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship If you are passionate about automotive repair and meet the qualifications outlined above, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as an Body & Paint Technician.
