In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coatings to a variety of metal products, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and safety protocols. Your expertise will help us deliver durable, visually appealing finishes that meet customer specifications. Duties Prepare surfaces for coating by performing surface cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation using hand tools and power tools. Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and airless paint sprayers, to apply consistent and high-quality finishes. Interpret production documents such as work orders, process sheets, and quality standards to ensure accurate application. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other material handling equipment while adhering to all safety protocols and PPE requirements. Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect finished products for coating uniformity, color accuracy, and surface defects. Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to ensure optimal production flow and safety compliance. Follow safety procedures diligently, including the use of respirators, respiratory protection gear, and PPE at all times during operations. Experience Previous experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or manufacturing environments is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to machining, construction painting surface preparation, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with coating application techniques such as conventional spraying and airless paint spraying. Ability to interpret manufacturing documents accurately and perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material quantities. Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection, and hazard awareness in an industrial setting. Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus but not mandatory with proper training provided. Strong attention to detail with excellent visual assessment skills for color matching and surface quality inspection.
