Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Spray Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings to various industrial components and structures using conventional spray guns, powder coating equipment, and airless paint spraying techniques. Your expertise will ensure that all painted surfaces meet strict quality standards and safety protocols, contributing to the durability and aesthetic appeal of our products. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by performing surface cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation in accordance with construction painting standards. Operate spray guns, powder coating equipment, airless paint sprayers, and other hand tools to apply coatings accurately and efficiently. Interpret production documents such as work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure correct application techniques and coating types. Handle materials safely using appropriate materials handling procedures, including forklift operation when necessary. Follow safety protocols diligently by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and respiratory protection devices, during all painting activities. Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect finished surfaces to ensure consistency with quality standards in production. Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to promote lean manufacturing practices and optimal workflow. Requirements Proven experience in industrial painting, including conventional spraying, powder coating, or auto body repair is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, machining tools, and fabrication machinery. Familiarity with construction painting surface preparation techniques and the use of precision measuring instruments for quality control. Ability to interpret production documents accurately while adhering to safety protocol adherence at all times. Warehouse experience or familiarity with materials handling equipment such as cranes or forklifts is a plus. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses and material quantities. Knowledge of safety standards related to respiratory protection and PPE use in industrial environments. Strong attention to detail with excellent visual color comparison skills for quality finishing.
