This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in auto body repair, surface preparation, and painting techniques. You'll assist skilled technicians with various tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. If you're eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about automotive restoration, this role is perfect for you! Duties Assist with surface preparation including sanding, masking, and cleaning vehicle surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion Support the application of paints, coatings, and spray guns using conventional and airless spray equipment Help with auto body repairs such as minor dent removal and surface refinishing under supervision Operate power tools like grinders, sanders, and buffing machines to achieve smooth finishes Maintain a clean workspace by organizing tools, disposing of waste materials properly, and ensuring safety protocols are followed Prepare vehicles for delivery or customer pickup Support the team in vehicle movement around the shop, including heavy lifting and positioning for painting or repairs Requirements Previous dealership or auto body shop experience is highly preferred Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools such as grinders and sanders Experience with automotive buffing, auto restoration, and surface preparation techniques is a plus Knowledge of automotive paints, coatings, spray guns, masking techniques, and sanding procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality finishing work Good customer service skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately Welding or mechanic experience is advantageous but not mandatory Commitment to safety practices including proper use of respiratory protection when handling paints or chemicals This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills in auto body repair and painting while contributing to high-quality vehicle restorations.
