Job Description:

Working with the fabrication team in painting signage. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our signage production team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing a variety of sign components to meet high-quality standards and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting (cleaning, sanding, masking, priming). Apply paint, coatings, and finishes using spray guns, rollers, or brushes. Match colors accurately based on specifications or samples. Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met. Operate and maintain painting equipment (spray booths, compressors, etc.). Follow safety procedures related to chemicals, paints, and equipment. Work with production and installation teams to meet deadlines. Touch up and repair painted surfaces as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications Previous experience in painting (industrial, automotive, or signage preferred). Knowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and application techniques. Ability to use spray equipment and painting tools. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to read job orders and follow specifications. Basic understanding of color mixing and matching. Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Skills Experience in a sign manufacturing environment. Familiarity with vinyl masking and graphic applications. Knowledge of powder coating or specialty finishes. OSHA safety knowledge or certifications. Work Environment Manufacturing/production facility setting. Exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, and loud equipment (PPE required).
