FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Blasting Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare metal surfaces for coating. Select the appropriate abrasive media based on job specifications. Achieve the required surface cleanliness and anchor profile (e.g., SSPC/NACE or ISO standards). Inspect blasted surfaces for cleanliness and quality before coating. Maintain blast hoses, nozzles, compressors, and dust collection systems. Arc Spray (Thermal Spray) Set up, operate, and monitor arc spray equipment according to work instructions and specifications. Prepare surfaces before thermal spray application to ensure proper coating adhesion. Select and install the correct spray wire and adjust machine parameters. Apply coatings to meet specified thickness, quality, and customer requirements. Inspect coated surfaces for defects and perform touch-ups when required. Paint Shop Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications. Apply primers, intermediate coats, and finish coats using spray guns or other approved methods. Monitor coating thickness and curing requirements. Inspect painted surfaces for coverage, finish quality, and defects. Clean and maintain painting equipment after use. Maintain production records and quality documentation. Ensure proper containment and disposal of spent materials. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs. Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance Report equipment malfunctions and quality issues promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S practices). Work collaboratively with supervisors, managers, and other departments. Follow all safety procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE and ventilation systems Follow all NOV Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures. Assist with other shop duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED. Mechanical aptitude. Prior coating, sandblasting, or manufacturing experience preferred but not always required. Ability to work safely in an industrial environment. Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed. Basic Microsoft Office skills may be preferred for documentation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must be a team player. Must be open to cross-training opportunities. Repetitive movement up to 12 hours daily Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach up to 12 hours daily Work in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection, and other required equipment.
