Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our powder coating team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying durable powder coatings to various metal components using specialized equipment, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with industrial painting processes, and the ability to handle materials safely and efficiently. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking to ensure optimal coating adhesion Operate powder coating equipment, including spray booths and electrostatic applicators, to apply consistent finishes Use hand tools and power tools for surface preparation and minor repairs before coating Handle materials with care using forklifts when moving heavy or bulky parts Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments to verify quality standards are met Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and proper waste disposal procedures Perform routine maintenance on coating equipment to ensure optimal operation and longevity Requirements Prior experience in industrial powder coating is mandatory Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction Ability to work with precision measuring instruments and perform detailed inspections Strong understanding of safety procedures related to industrial powder coating and materials handling Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects safely, and work in a fast-paced environment Join us as a Powder Coater and become part of a dynamic team dedicated to producing top-quality products through skillful application of coatings.
