Job Title:
Painter and Body Work Duties and Responsibilities:

Examining vehicles to determine the extent of damage and the best methods for repair

Prepping vehicles for painting by sanding, filling in dents and dings, and applying primer

Selecting and mixing appropriate paint or coating for the job

Applying paint or other coatings using spray equipment

Ensuring the quality of work by performing checks and touch-ups

Using heat lamps or baking ovens to cure and harden the paint

Keeping a clean and safe workspace by disposing of hazardous waste appropriately

Ordering paint and supplies as necessary

Working cooperatively with team members and other departments in the auto body repair process

Education & Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Experience:

Minimum of One year experience or of formal training program in automotive body repair. (Body paint or related experience is a plus). Ability to mix and match colors. Good physical condition and stamina. Knowledge of painting techniques with ability to distinguish different colors.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to stand for extended periods. Pay Depends on Experience and will be discussed with applicant at the time of the interview.
