In this role, you will be responsible for transforming vehicles through expert surface preparation, precise painting, and finishing techniques. Your craftsmanship will ensure each vehicle meets the highest standards of quality and aesthetics, contributing to our reputation for excellence in auto body repair and restoration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your automotive painting expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your skills make a visible difference. Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces meticulously through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply primers, paints, coatings, and clear coats using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment with precision and consistency Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, welding, grinding, and auto glass replacement as needed to restore vehicle integrity before painting Perform automotive buffing and detailing to achieve a flawless finish that exceeds customer expectations Operate power tools such as grinders, sanders, and spray guns safely while adhering to all safety protocols including respiratory protection measures Assist with auto restoration projects by applying automotive surface preparation techniques and finishing touches Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and calibrated for optimal performance Requirements
MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS!
Proven dealership or auto body shop experience as an automotive painter or in a similar role with hands-on knowledge of auto painting techniques Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in auto body repair, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, grinders, sanders, buffing machines, and spray guns including surface preparation masking and sanding techniques Familiarity with automotive buffing, detailing, auto glass replacement, and auto estimating processes is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or materials during repair processes Knowledge of automotive paints, coatings, primers, and surface preparation methods aligned with industry standards Experience with welding or other metalwork is advantageous but not mandatory Commitment to safety practices including the use of respiratory protection during spray applications Pay is negotiable/
