Position Description Shift:
Mon-Thurs 6:00AM-4:00
PM Pay:
$26.00/hr Paint Preparation & Masking Perform all surface preparation activities including cleaning, sanding, grinding, and degreasing to ensure optimal coating adhesion. Apply masking materials to protect critical surfaces, fittings, and hardware according to engineering drawings or internal standards. Inspect surfaces prior to painting to verify readiness and correct deficiencies when necessary. Paint Mixing & Application Mix two‑part coatings accurately following manufacturer specifications (ratios, pot life, temperature requirements, etc). Load and operate airless spray systems to apply primer and finish coats. Maintain consistent coating thickness, appearance, and coverage per internal quality expectations. Conduct touch‑ups and rework when required. Equipment Setup & Operation Safely operate airless spray systems, pressure pots, and related paint equipment. Use man lifts or elevated work platforms when required to access equipment surfaces safely. Clean and maintain spray guns, hoses, pumps, and related tools to ensure reliable operation. Quality & Compliance Inspect finished parts for defects such as runs, dry spray, fisheyes, or uneven coverage. Document work performed, including paint batch data, mix ratios, and environmental conditions. Follow established safety procedures including PPE requirements for respirators, protective clothing, and hearing protection. Comply with OSHA, EPA, and company safety and environmental standards regarding flammable materials and hazardous waste handling. Key Responsibilities 1-3 years of experience painting industrial, automotive, or commercial equipment (or equivalent training). Knowledge of airless spray systems and two‑part coating products. Ability to safely operate man lifts (training provided if needed). Strong attention to detail and visual inspection skills. Ability to read and follow work instructions, schematics, and safety documentation. Required Education & Qualifications High school diploma of GED required or 2-3 years of hands on manufacturing experience
