Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Paint Finisher, where your expertise will transform raw materials into high-quality finished products through precise coating and finishing techniques. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, powder coating, and other surface treatments to a variety of components, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and safety protocols. Your attention to detail and mechanical aptitude will contribute to the production of durable, visually appealing products that meet customer specifications. Duties Prepare surfaces through construction painting surface preparation, including sanding, cleaning, and masking to ensure optimal coating adhesion. Operate spray guns such as conventional spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and coating spray guns to apply paint, powder coatings, or industrial finishes with precision. Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment for material handling, fabrication, or assembly tasks related to finishing processes. Interpret production documents and technical specifications to ensure correct application of coatings according to project requirements. Maintain adherence to safety protocols by correctly using personal protective equipment (PPE), respirators, respiratory protection devices, and following all safety procedures during operations. Handle materials safely within warehouse environments using forklifts and cranes when necessary for moving heavy components or finished products. Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect finished surfaces for quality standards in production finishing, auto body repair, or industrial painting applications. Utilize precision measuring instruments and basic math skills to verify dimensions and coating thicknesses align with specifications. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency while maintaining high-quality output. Skills Proficiency in industrial painting techniques including powder coating, auto painting, construction painting, and coating application methods. Experience operating various spray guns such as airless paint sprayers and conventional spray systems. Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes, machining operations, welding, and auto body repair. Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and specifications accurately. Strong understanding of safety protocols including PPE use, respirator fitting, respiratory protection measures, and hazard awareness in manufacturing environments. Familiarity with materials handling equipment like forklifts and cranes for efficient movement of parts and finished products. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and basic math for quality control purposes. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices aimed at reducing waste while maintaining product excellence.
