Job Overview This is a hands-on position focused on troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues, maintaining plant machinery, and programming or troubleshooting PLC systems. We are open to candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience and will provide on-the-job training. Candidates do not need prior experience with plastic or paper bag machinery. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of electrical systems and is mechanically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting, and wants to develop their skills in industrial automation and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Perform all tasks in a safe manner and adhere to all safety rules and procedures Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company-specific safety protocols Maintain a clean and organized work area Comply with all food safety policies and PPE requirements Review and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions to determine cause and solution Perform electrical wiring, repairs, modifications, and upgrades as needed Monitor plant equipment to identify and prevent potential issues Conduct emergency repairs efficiently to minimize downtime Repair or monitor broken machine parts Rebuild and repair drive motors as required Remain familiar with all plant electrical equipment and systems
Required Qualifications and Skills:
1-2 years of experience in electrical, industrial maintenance, automation, manufacturing, mechatronics, or a related field Basic understanding of electrical circuits and components Comfortable using a multimeter and basic electrical tools Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot equipment Willingness to learn PLCs, VFDs, sensors, motors, and industrial machine controls Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment Ability to troubleshoot problems logically and methodically 1+ year experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting 1+ year as a licensed or certified industrial electrician 1+ year experience in industrial maintenance Strong understanding of electrical controls, motor drives, and industrial wiring Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation Troubleshooting skills with mechanical and electrical systems Other Requirements Physically able to stand for long periods and perform light lifting tasks. Willingness to learn Associate's degree or higher Must be able to work in a factory environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Basic problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and improve. Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues. Compensation •Overtime available
