Controls Technician Chicago, IL Summary:
We're looking for an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Technician to install, startup, troubleshoot, and service HVAC control systems for commercial and industrial facilities throughout the Chicago area. In this role, you'll help ensure buildings operate efficiently by commissioning new systems, resolving technical issues, and providing exceptional service to our customers. What You'll Do Install, startup, troubleshoot, and service building automation and HVAC control systems. Perform controller programming, point-to-point checkout, system commissioning, and functional testing. Diagnose communication, network, and control issues to keep customer systems operating at peak performance. Work with project managers, engineers, and customers throughout installation and service projects. Read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, and mechanical plans. Complete service documentation and provide customers with clear updates on work performed. Deliver exceptional customer service while building long-term relationships with clients. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience servicing or commissioning commercial building automation systems. Experience with one or more major BAS platforms such as Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, Alerton, Distech, Delta Controls, or Automated Logic. Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, control sequences, electrical troubleshooting, and networking fundamentals. Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally throughout the Chicago area.
