Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Fiel Measurement technician to perform on-site measurements and project assessements for kitchen renovation projects in multifamily residential properties managed by property management companies through the DMV. The role is critical to ensuring accurate cabinet ordering, countertop fabrication and successful project execution. Duties Visit apartment communities and residential properties throughout the DMV region to perform kitchen measurements. Accurately measure kitchens for cabinets, countertops, appliances, backsplashes, flooring and related components. Create detailed field sketches, layouts and measurement reports. Take photos and document existing site conditions. Identify potential installation challenges, including plumbing and electrical conflicts, structural obstacles, access limitations and code compliance concerns. Verify dimensions against project scopes and renovation standards. Submit measurement packages promptly and accurately to office team. Coordinate site access with property managers and maintenance staff. Maintain professional relationships with clients and property management personnel. Assist project managers by providing field observations and recommendations. Ensure all work complies with company standards and safety procedures. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in kitchen remodeling, carpentry, construction, cabinetry or related field. Strong understanding of measuring techniques and constuction terminology. Ability to read floor plans and basic construction drawings. Proficiency with measuring tools including laser measuring devices. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Ability to drive throughout Maryland, DC and Virginia. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with smartphones, tablets and microsoft office. Experience measuring cabinets and countertops. Experience wroking in mulitfamily housing or property management environments. Knowledge of kitchen design software Familiarity with cabinet installation and renovation processes. Physical Requirements Ability to walk properties, climb stairs and access occupied and vacant units. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods of time. Compensation Competetive salary based on experience. Mileage reimbursement or vehicle allowance.
