Job Description

Marvin is seeking a Controls & Automation Team Lead to guide a small team supporting our advanced manufacturing operations. In this hands-on role, you will design, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks to keep production equipment safe, reliable, and efficient. You'll lead automation projects from concept through startup, mentor technicians and engineers, and partner with maintenance and production to reduce downtime and improve quality. Responsibilities Lead a small controls and automation team supporting manufacturing operations Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems Maintain and optimize industrial networks and integrated automation equipment Lead automation and controls projects from concept through commissioning Support production and maintenance teams in resolving equipment downtime issues Implement and uphold industrial and electrical safety standards Analyze equipment and process data to drive continuous improvement Develop and maintain control system documentation and standards Train and mentor technicians and junior engineers on controls best practices Collaborate cross-functionally to support new equipment and process introductions Required Skills PLC programming
HMI/SCADA
configuration Industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet) Control system design and troubleshooting Robotics and motion control Electrical schematics and panel design Industrial safety standards (NFPA 70 E, lockout/tagout) Data acquisition and OEE monitoring Project management Root cause analysis and continuous improvement
