Job Description
Instrumentation & Controls Technician Manufacturing & Industrial Environment A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support plant operations through hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, and repair of instrumentation and automation systems. This is a field-based role focused on reliability and uptime of production processes. Position Overview This is a hands-on role working directly on the plant floor supporting instrumentation, PLC systems, and automated production equipment. This is not a desk-based programming position . Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and maintain instrumentation and control systems in a manufacturing environment Work with PLC-controlled equipment and automated systems Support Allen-Bradley PLC systems (preferred experience) Work with AutomationDirect systems, HMIs, and touchscreens Calibrate and maintain instrumentation including: 4-20 mA pressure transmitters Level transmitters and process instrumentation Diagnose and resolve control system issues to reduce downtime Perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation systems Collaborate with maintenance and production teams Qualifications 3-5+ years of instrumentation/control systems experience in an industrial environment Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems preferred Familiarity with AutomationDirect systems and HMIs Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and control loops Ability to read electrical/instrumentation schematics Strong field troubleshooting mindset Compensation & Schedule $40 - $45 per hour Day shift (Monday-Friday) Full-time, stable manufacturing environment
