JSET Automated Technologies About Us JSET Automated Technologies specializes in Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and controls installations in mission-critical environments, including data centers. Our field teams are known for safe work, clean installs, and precise documentation. This role is ideal for candidates with experience as a BAS/BMS Technician, Controls Technician, Low Voltage Technician, Power Monitoring Technician, or SCADA Technician . Travel Requirement This role requires flexibility to support projects and teams across multiple regions. Initial training will take place in Columbus, OH Ongoing project support may include travel to job sites in: Atlanta, GA Columbus, OH Sterling, VA South Bend, IN Other project locations as needed Travel frequency will vary based on project demands. Candidates must be open and available to travel periodically, including extended assignments when required. What You'll Do Install, terminate, label, and verify low-voltage control wiring per drawings and specifications Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, electrical single-lines, and network diagrams Install and support devices including sensors, controllers, meters, gateways, and network switches Configure devices using a laptop and approved software/tools Set and verify IP addressing, firmware versions, and network configurations Perform point-to-point checks, functional testing, and system startup support Troubleshoot electrical, signal, and communication issues Repair or replace devices, sensors, and wiring as directed Coordinate with commissioning agents, field leads, and engineers to resolve punch list items Communicate RFIs to field leadership when drawings or scope require clarification Document installations, testing results, and configurations in Procore and project templates Track materials, maintain inventory, and communicate field needs proactively Follow OSHA requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures Support inspections, turnover documentation, and quality control processes What You'll Bring High school diploma or GED 1+ year of experience in controls, BMS/BAS, low voltage, electrical installation, or related technical trade Working knowledge of basic electrical theory and safe work practices Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, subnet masks, switching) Ability to read prints, schematics, single-lines, and network diagrams Comfortable using a laptop for configuration, diagnostics, and firmware updates Strong documentation skills using Procore or similar platforms Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Reliable communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in controls installation, BMS, EPMS, BAS, or power monitoring systems Experience with Distech, Niagara (Tridium), Ignition, or similar control platforms Commissioning or data center project experience Technical certification or post-secondary education in electrical, controls, or IT Exposure to SCADA systems or industrial automation Python or scripting experience for controls/data-related tasks (project-dependent) Why Join JSET Competitive pay 401(k) with employer match Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Ongoing training and career development in high-demand technical fields Work Environment and Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 60 lbs Ability to climb ladders, work from lifts, and wear PPE for full shifts Work in active construction sites and data center environments Ability to distinguish wire colors and read terminal labels Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must be 18 years or older Take the Next Step Join JSET Automated Technologies and help deliver safe, clean, and well-documented controls installations on mission-critical projects across the country.
