Job Description

About the Role AUTEC Car Wash Systems is seeking a Controls Technician to join our manufacturing team in Statesville, NC. This position is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting electrical control systems and panels used in automated car wash equipment. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with electrical aptitude, manufacturing experience, or technical training who enjoys working with wiring, schematics, troubleshooting, and building equipment. We are looking for individuals who take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy learning, and want to grow their skills in industrial controls and automation. Duties Assemble and wire electrical control panels, junction boxes, and related components Read and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions Route, label, terminate, and verify wiring connections Install electrical components including relays, terminal blocks, sensors, breakers, switches, and power supplies Support electrical testing and system verification activities Troubleshoot wiring and controls-related issues as needed Test and verify basic sensors, proximity switches, and photo eyes Maintain clean and organized work areas while following safety standards Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Assembly teams to support equipment builds Help maintain high-quality manufacturing and electrical standards Experience Required Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Preferred Experience with electrical wiring, panel building, or industrial manufacturing Ability to read electrical schematics Technical schooling, vocational training, or related hands-on experience Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment Ability to follow detailed instructions and wiring diagrams Strong attention to detail and quality Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour
